Lumio Scholarships

Opening doors to potential for Grade 11 entry into the IB Diploma Programme (2026/27)
As a not-for-profit international school near Paphos, we exist to invest in what matters most — teaching, learning, wellbeing and opportunity.
Our Scholarship Programme reflects this commitment, supporting students who demonstrate strong academic potential, integrity and alignment with Lumio’s values, as we prepare to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) from 2026/27.

Why we offer scholarships

As a not-for-profit school, Lumio believes that talent, character and potential should never be limited by circumstance.

Our Scholarship Programme has been created to:

  • Attract high-achieving, motivated students.
  • Strengthen academic outcomes within the IB Diploma Programme.
  • Build a diverse, values-led cohort of future leaders.
  • Ensure access to opportunity is based on merit and alignment, not finances alone.

A Lumio Scholarship is not simply financial support — it is a partnership between the school, the student and their family.

What is the Scholarship discount offered?

Scholarships will be awarded from 10% to 90% of the published 2026/27 tuition fees. The exact amount will depend on each individual applicant’s circumstances and will be decided by the Scholarship Committee.

The IB Diploma Programme at Lumio

From 2026/27, Lumio will offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) for students entering Grade 11.

The IB DP is globally recognised for developing:

  • Independent, critical thinkers.
  • Strong communicators and problem-solvers.
  • Ethically minded, internationally aware young adults.

At Lumio, the IB DP will be delivered within a personalised, student-centred environment, supported by small class sizes, academic mentoring and strong pastoral care.
Lumio Private School is a candidate school* for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme and pursuing authorisation as an IB World School.
IB World Schools share a common philosophy—a commitment to improve the teaching and learning of a diverse and inclusive community of students by delivering challenging, high quality programmes of international education that share a powerful vision.**

*Only schools authorised by the International Baccalaureate can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme. Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorisation will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org
**Mission Statement from the IB
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organisation works with schools, governments and international organisations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
