Our classrooms are taking shape!
We have been watching with anticipation as the primary building takes shape. Over the last few weeks the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); electricity; and dry walling have been installed. The framework for the elevator pit is in place, while a few of our classrooms have been fully constructed allowing the contractors to follow the same design specification throughout.
Walking through the first newly constructed classrooms: (left to right) Yuri Beyl (Lumio Chief of Operations), Aleksei Berezevoi (Lumio Managing Director), Colin Sinclair (Lumio Head of School), Natalia Mouzykantskii (Lumio Founder), Anthimos Ioannou (Alpha Ioannou Construction – Main contractors), Michalis Michael (Lazarou & Michael, Partners Architects), Christos Makris and Chrisavgi Mina (Ch. Makris and Partners LLC – Project Management Team, QAQC Assurance)
All the dirty preparatory work has finally been completed, the progress of which was very difficult to see while being done. Everything will now move very fast and will be much more obvious to see. – Michalis Michael (Architect)
