Begin your two-year IB Diploma Programme in Grade 11 with scholarship support covering 10%–90%  of tuition fees.

Application Process and Timeline

Online Application

February 3 – February 27, 2026

  • All scholarship applications must be submitted via the online application form.
  • Paper applications will not be accepted.

Required Documentation

  • Passports or National ID (student and parent/s).
  • Birth certificate (student).
  • Academic reports for the last two academic years, including 2025/26 Term 1.
  • Behavioural reference from current school.
  • Personal statement.
  • Evidence of achievement(s) (academic, Olympiad, community involvement).
  • English language certification (non-native English Speakers).
  • Photo of student – head and shoulders.

Assessments

March 2 – March 13, 2026

  • An English language assessment, including a written essay.
  • A mathematics assessment.

Interviews

March 16 – March 27, 2026

  • Individual student interview with the Scholarship Committee.
  • A conversation with parents following the student interview.

Final Decision

March 31, 2026

  • Scholarship decisions are made by the Scholarship Committee.

  • A minimum of four committee votes is required for an award.

  • Scholarships are granted for first year of the IB Diploma Programme.

  • Continuation of the scholarship into year 2 is conditional on the student meeting the required academic, behavioural and assessment levels.

Offers Issued

April 1, 2026

  • Parents must accept or decline the offer within three working days.

Acceptance and Enrolment

April 3, 2026

  • Parents must sign and submit the enrolment agreement, with the payment of the deposit of €500, within five working days.
  • On receipt of payment, the scholarship will be formally confirmed.

What is the purpose of the Lumio Scholarship Programme?

To attract and support high-achieving students who demonstrate strong academic potential, integrity and alignment with Lumio’s values, strengthening outcomes within the IB Diploma Programme.

How many scholarships are available?

Up to five (5) scholarships may be awarded per academic year, at the school’s discretion.

What discounts apply for the scholarship?

Scholarships will be awarded from 10% to 90% of the published 2026/27 tuition fees. The exact amount will depend on each individual applicant’s circumstances and will be decided by the Scholarship Committee.

How long does a scholarship last?

Scholarships cover the full two-year IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12), subject to ongoing performance and engagement.

Can a scholarship be combined with other discounts?

Scholarships apply to tuition fees only and are awarded independently of other fee reductions.

When is the policy reviewed?

The Scholarship Policy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with Lumio’s strategic priorities and IB requirements.
