A Show-Stopping End to the Year

What a thrilling end-of-year production we experienced this past week. Each grade presented a unique piece, showcasing their creativity and theatrical flair.

We were especially delighted by the individual and small group performances — each bringing something personal and memorable to the stage.

Perhaps most impressive was the surprise performance from our parents, who had been rehearsing in secret. Their dedication and talent brought joy and wonder to our entire community — a truly heart-warming moment!

A huge well done to everyone who took part, and a heartfelt thank you to Ms Steph, Ms Adi, and Ms Karen for bringing the production to life. We also extend our gratitude to all staff who supported students on and off stage, and of course, to our wonderful students, who gave it their all.

We’re already looking forward to more performances next year!

Computer Science Showcase

A day of discovery and digital brilliance.

Students from Grades 4 to 7 recently stepped into the spotlight to present their Computer Science projects to an eager crowd of staff and curious parents.  From clever games to innovative smart systems, every project showcased weeks of dedication, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving — not to mention a healthy dose of technical flair.

Team participating included:

  • Grade 4 – Pasha, Stas and Nikita
  • Grade 4 – Karina, Alisa and Kate
  • Grade 4 – Robert, Nitay and Leo
  • Grade 5 – Ivan, Rayyan and Yam
  • Grade 6 – Anna, Kate, Evgeniia and Seva
  • Grade 6 – Giorgio, George and Taim
  • Grade 6 – Tim, Gregory and Jacob
  • Grade 7 – Maggie, Sandy and Bob

Visitors became judges, voting for their favourite ideas and inventions. And while the results were top secret – we can now reveal that the winners are . . .

Grade 6 – Anna, Kate, Evgeniia and Seva . Well done!

Playground Opening

On the 2nd of June the Lumio Primary Playground was officially opened by our Founder! The excitement in the air was pulpable and the students from Grades 1 – 3 couldn’t contain their excitement. They enjoyed playing on the equipment for the very first time, with our older primary students having as much fun the very next day.

The space includes a BLOQX4 climbing wall from Germany, Turbo Carousel swings, an Agility Trail gym, a Cableway zipline, trampolines, a Tipi, and garden zones for lots of outdoor learning and exploring. Each feature was selected with movement, imagination and connection in mind.

Lumio learners now have an outdoor area where they can play, explore and interact.

Celebrating Our Grade 5 & 6 Graduates

The end of the academic year has brought many milestones, including the graduation of our Grade 5 and 6 learners, who will be moving into the secondary school from September with our older students.

The ceremony began with a welcome address from our Founder, followed by Advisors who shared heartfelt reflections and messages engaging each learner as they recognised their strengths. Every student was invited to the stage to receive their graduation certificate. They enjoyed coming up and seeing their baby photos with their “grown up” photos on the screen. There was a lot of giggling and cajoling but also a sense of pride at their achievements.

In Grade 5, Lev and Penelope, and in Grade 6, Anna and Seva, spoke with honesty and warmth as they shared their overall class experiences and expressed their appreciation for their time in primary school and with their teachers.

As these students move on to Grade 6 and 7, we know they will continue their journey with curiosity, courage, and purpose – and a lot of fun learning.  Here’s to their next chapter.
